Description

This project focuses on the development of physical disinfection solutions with the following main objectives:

  • To study the effect of applying LED technology, as light sources, with wavelengths in the UVC and UVB region, as a germicidal agent for disinfecting surfaces. The study begins with the UV region and in the next phase it will advance to the UVB region, in order to develop a solution that allows the minimization of the degradation of the materials.
  • Adapt the robot to the specific needs of this application, including capacity to move substantial weight, generate trajectories and optimized positioning, detection of people and/or animals and immediate stop of operation when present.

The proposed solution consists essentially of a range of disinfection systems, based on LED technology, consisting of two product versions:

  • easily transportable system for applications in small spaces (eg ambulances and passenger vehicles);
  • system with autonomous movement (robot) for large space (eg hospitals, public spaces, schools, offices, industrial spaces).
