Since 51% of the energy consumed is used in electricity and transport, it is necessary to create sustainable infrastructures that ensure quality of life and increase economic value.
These pillars are essential to preserve the cities of the future, both from an organizational point of view and in terms of improving the quality of life and safety.
Over the last 2 decades, the switch to LED technology has allowed for a reduction in consumption of around 80% compared to conventional technology.
However, with the increase in population in large urban centers, the use of lighting also increases, promoting significant increases in consumption, which we must combat with other measures without jeopardizing the priority need that is lighting. The integration of sensors and control systems in lighting allows for an even more controlled and targeted decrease in consumption, without jeopardizing the safety and well-being of populations.
With the increase in population in urban centers, it is also necessary to create structural conditions for sustainable mobility, which will ensure transport but at the same time reduce CO2 emissions. The almost mandatory use of sustainable mobility alternatives requires a restructuring of the organization of cities in this sense. The use of electric vehicles, individual or collective, is increasingly recurrent and urgent to globalize in metropolises.
